Gibbs and Associates, developer of GibbsCAM software for programming CNC machine tools and a Cimatron company, has released the 11.2.17.0 version of GibbsCAM 2015 software, its a provides powerful range of CNC programming functionality including Solid Modeling, 2-5 Axis Milling, High Speed Machining, Mill/Turn, Swiss, Wire-EDM, Multi-Task Machining, and more.

GibbsCAM 2015 introduces its new engine, the Universal Kinematic Machine (UKM). GibbsCAM with UKM technology was developed to further simplify programming, provide the flexibility to easily support the most advanced machines, and accurately simulate all of the machine components and capabilities of any machine. GibbsCAM 2015 contains significant improvements throughout the product line from geometry creation to toolpath strategies, as well as significant improvements to tooling, including integration with the Adveon Tooling Library.

Update: Implemented a scroll bar to the Comments area within Machine Manager
Fix: Resolved an issue preventing Simulation from detecting collisions between Fixtures and Solid bodies when the Fixture is set up as Intermediate Tooling
Fix: Resolved an issue causing the "Tool Motion on Target Body" option within rendering to active while using a 3D Mouse to rotate the view
Fix: Resolved an issue in which user defined Tool Change Position in the Document Control Dialog was not picked up during rendering
Fix: Resolved an issue causing 5-Axis operations to gouge a part when "Spiral Cutting Method" is set to full
Fix: Resolved an issue in which Thread Processes were cauculating inconsistent first cut depths
Fix: Resolved an issue causing Tool Shank diameter to display inconsistent sizes in Simulation depending on selected solids
Fix: Resolved an issue where Thread processes were ignoring the "1st Depth of Cut" causing each dept to cut incorrectly
Fix: Resolved an issue preventing small Machine Sim color changes from displaying
Fix: Resolved an issue causing tools to render as cutting air rather than the stock
Fix: Resolved an issue causing mouse line shading to not update when tool radius is changed
Fix: Resolved an issue within rendering causing circular motions to render as linear motions
Fix: Resolved an issue causing Sub Position edit text not showing in some cases
Fix: Resolved an issue preventing Operation Simulation from reporting collisions from drilling operations
Fix: Resolved an issue preventing "Center Out Cuts" checkbox from functioning correctly
