Windows 8.1 is the current version of Microsoft Windows operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including desktops at home and business, laptops, netbooks, tablets, servers, and media centers. Adds support for ARM microprocessors in addition to the traditional x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. Its user interface has been modified to make it more suitable for use with touch screens in addition to the traditional mouse and keyboard. Microsoft also announced that Aero Glass will not be present in the final version of Windows 8.1.
