Install instructions for XForce method by transcendenz:
0. Uninstall Lightroom if you already installed LR 6.0 and had issues (there is no need to uninstall any prior version 5.x or before, only if you're having trouble with v6.0/CC)
1. Disconnect from internet (i.e., turn of wifi)
2. Remove all adobe entries from your hosts file, expand below for detailed instructions. This is not optional as the installation checks for these even when you're offline.
How to edit hosts file: Show
3. Mount Lightroom_6_LS11.dmg and start Install
4. Choose 'Install I have purchased' and proceed
5. Choose 'Sign In'
6. Choose 'Connect Later'
7. When prompted for Serial Number, start keygen in xf-accm2014.dmg
8. Choose 'Adobe Lightroom CC' for Product
9. Generate serial, then right click on serial and select copy; Paste into LR
10. Proceed with install and Launch Lightroom
11. Click on 'Having trouble connecting to the internet?' (Select 'Sign In Now' first if you don't have the option yet; note that it's in the middle of the dialog)
12. Select 'Offline Activation' then 'Generate Request Code'
13. Copy entire request code (even the '=' sign)
14. Paste request code into keygen by clearing text in request code field, then right click and select paste
15. Select 'Gen. Activation', right click on activation code and select copy
16. Paste activation code into LR and Activate
17. Copy temporariliy deleted hosts file entries and paste them back into terminal
18. Add the following entries to your hosts file if you don't have them
Hosts entries to block Adobe apps: Show
19. Press: 'Ctrl + O' to save hosts file
20. Press: 'Ctrl + X' to exit nano; you can quit terminal now
21. Turn network connection back on and enjoy Lightroom
