Giới thiệu
Từng ghi dấu ấn với Dòng máu anh hùng và Để Mai Tính, Charlie Nguyễn đạt được nhiều thành công với phong cách làm phim giải trí ảnh hưởng mạnh mẽ từ Hollywood và được coi là một trong những đạo diễn tên tuổi của điện ảnh Việt Nam. Sau bộ phim hành động Bụi đời Chợ Lớn không thể đến với khán giả do không qua được kiểm duyệt, Charlie Nguyễn trở lại làm phim hài với Tèo Em - được giới thiệu là phim hài - hành trình.



Trong phim, hai diễn viên Johnny Trí Nguyễn và Thái Hòa vào vai hai anh em Tí, Tèo có cuộc sống và tính cách khác nhau. Một người lanh lợi, lịch lãm; kẻ còn lại thì cù lần, ngây ngô. Họ buộc phải đi cùng nhau trên một chuyến xe về thị xã Sa Đéc, chạy đua với thời gian nhằm cứu vãn một mối tình. Trên đường đi, sự khác biệt làm nảy sinh xung đột và dẫn tới những câu chuyện dở khóc dở cười.



Nội dung Tèo Em mang phong cách khá giống với một số tác phẩm của Hollywood. Các bộ phim này đều nói về cuộc hành trình giữa hai nhân vật đối trọng, một bên lịch lãm - điển trai, một bên thô kệch và gặp vấn đề về thần kinh. Tèo Em đã thành công lớn ở khía cạnh giải trí, tạo ra được sự hài hước và hóm hỉnh khiên người xem cười không ngừng nghỉ từ đầu đến cuối phim.
